Capability is the capacity to realize
individual and Organisational goals in a sustainable way through the
development of people. It focuses on people’s confidence and emotional
intelligence in applying the knowledge, skills, attributes and behaviours in a
range of contexts within an organisation.

job-specific competencies and safety leadership development. Competency focuses
on the acquisition of knowledge, skills and attributes to fulfill the
requirements of a particular task in the workplace. Developing skills and
knowledge is just one aspect of capability development. Being able to apply
